How the backtest works: each strategy follows House and Senate periodic transaction reports and acts only on the day a filing became public, the first day anyone could have traded on it, buying at that day's close. Each has its own rules for what it buys, how it sizes positions and when it sells; those rules are Shameless Cloning's own. Every change in a position costs 0.1% of the amount traded. Returns use daily closes without dividends, for the strategies and the S&P 500 alike. Filings for stocks without price history (mostly companies since acquired or delisted) are skipped, which can flatter results slightly. Past results are a backtest, not a promise, and nothing here is investment advice.
